While travelling around the bustling city on foot, Sidney needed to ensure that his equipment was compact yet effective. He mounted the lightweight Ninja V+ to the Sony A7SIII camera and used the 24-70mm F2.8 G Master II lens for its ability to capture both wide-angle and close-up shots.

Seizing the opportunity to film lively Manhattan streets and its’ one-of-a-kind buildings, Sidney utilised the built-in tools of the Ninja V+ including the waveform and focus peaking, to ensure what he was capturing reflected the true colours of those presented on the Autumnal day.

“I can use focus peaking to make sure my shot is framed properly and utilise the Ninja’s 1000 nit touchscreen, which was bright enough for me on this trip.”

Iconic Times Square was the next stop on Sidney’s trip. To ensure he captured the area’s vibrant movements, he opted for the wide angle 16-35mm lens. “The benefit of using the Ninja’s 5.2” display is that you can observe the finer details compared to using the LCD on a smaller camera,” added Sidney. Contemplating his experience in New York, Sidney said: “What I particularly liked about the Ninja V+ is that it helped me slow down and take in every shot.”
